Sometimes known as the #TasmanianFuscia this #CorreaBackhouseana is a species of shrub that is endemic to coastal (and near-coastal areas) of southern Australia.
It has elliptical to egg-shaped or round leaves that are densely hairy on the lower surface, and cylindrical to funnel-shaped, cream-coloured to pale green or red and yellow flowers.
And it’s not surprising this beauty can be found on the great State of #Tasmania, too!
This, with a bursting heart, is posted here for everyone, although is especially dedicated to the ‘@Lioness of Heart’ herself, who lives on the heart-shapes isle of #Tassie.

Spotlight
A young tree sprouts in a sliver of light in the space between boulders. Plants in alpine areas take hold in the unlikeliest of places, yet thrive where they logically should not.
The plant is too young for me to identify. If there is someone who knows, please advise me.
Found on the Panorama Track on kunanyi, near Hobart, Tasmania.

The Western Arthurs: a whole bunch of mountains. First view of this scene blew my mind, although it was Arthurs Plains that did it.
Nothing can take away the grandeur of a scene, but sometimes you have to admit defeat on an image.
At the time of taking this photograph, I was thinking more about the hike ahead and finding a good spot to get a shot of Federation Peak. What I didn't do was take the time to do the scene justice, leaving a washed out RAW image that required a lot of rescue work.
Having already spent way too much time on this image, I will just have to go back and give the scene the attention it deserves.

To celebrate #StBrigid this week, we are doing a (fiddly 😅) little cup of sunshine: our St Brigid Tassie ☀️☀️☀️a buttery shortcrust shell filled with lemon & rosemary curd 😍
The story has it that St Brigid covered the land with sunshine, it then turned green and meant the start of spring 🌼
