Tablas Creek Vineyard Blog - What's the most useless glass bottle? One that never leaves the winery.

Glass is a problematic container for due to its weight, the energy you need to mine, mold, and ship it, and the fact that glass in the United States is dismal. At we've moved to lightweight bottles, shifted some of our production to box and keg, and worked to source more locally and with a higher recycled content. I'm still excited that we'll be serving our wines going forward out of keg, not bottle.
