#TatTuesday on Friday: Within a week or so of binging OFMD, I knew what I wanted to cover my HP tattoo with. I had it done in late April 2022.

The Chinese on the bottom is my cat's name. If you recognize it, you're probably thinking, "uh, that's Japanese!", and yes, you're correct, but I adopted my cat while I was living in China and named him the Chinese version of a Japanese word: rénzhĕ, or ninja :)

This was my first tattoo, gotten about 20 years ago, commemorating a torrid love affair, but also doing double duty as a protective emblem and spiritual compass, honoring the laws of nature. I have a Tyr-shaped scar in my right hand, so I look at this combination as "one spear in my hand, and one on my shield," symbolizing the archetype of the spiritual warrior, doing battle with one's inner demons.

It’s been A Week at work already (still no word yet on my promotion, but I’m remaining hopeful) so I grabbed burgers and fries for dinner, had some special candy for dessert, and am going to zone out to mindless TV.

Currently I have 3 tattoos, and this is one of them! A cat on my leg with paw prints circling around my ankle and down to my foot. The cat is modeled after my cat Ember (stylistically inspired, not direct coloration), who I had to say goodbye back in January of this year. I miss her every day. ❤️ #TatTuesday #HavingAWeek

it's #TatTuesday for #HavingAWeek! the first one was an impulse one. I'd been rewatching OFMD (again) very very late at night and had the sudden need to get a star on my hand like Ed's, so the next day I went to the tattoo shop down the street and got it.

the second one is from Chris Jang at Black Fish Tattoo. they had posted some ofmd flash to their IG that I loved, and I asked them for a custom piece in the same style.
