Hier avait lieu la #TDoR #TDoR22 Transgender Day of Remembrance (ou journée du souvenir transgenre) afin de nous soutenir mais surtout alerter contre le nombre d'assassinats dont celleux d'entre nous ont été victimes, tout en leur rendant hommage et honneur. Nous les pleurons chaque jour. Nous n'oublions pas.

À Rita Huster, victime d'un crime de haine, qui a inspiré cette journée internationale du souvenir.

Remembering our dead. Mourning the violence in Colorado Springs at Club Q. I grew up in Colorado. Bars were important to me when I was in high school ('79) and college in the '80s. I was born in Texas, where trans people are under attack from the state. I am just back from a play, A Thousand Ways Part 3, where the audience is left with index cards to make the performance. It was beautiful to be together with strangers to be art, be people, to mourn.

Una bellissima serata al ristorante "Quelli dell'acciughetta" per finanziare il Liguria Pride. Grazie per l'ospitalità e grazie alle persone che hanno partecipato, davvero una bella serata, in un giorno che era particolarmente significativo: era il #TDoR22 e sono iniziati i mondiali in #Qatar uno dei paesi in cui la discriminazione nei confronti delle persone #LGBTQIA è a livelli molto più che preoccupanti.

On this #TDOR22, I reflect on how fortunate I am to be in community at SeattleU & SeattleULaw with many brilliant colleagues & students who are transgender, NB & GNC. As a GNC/gay dean, I cherish their presence & cheer their future. At the same time, I pray for those lost & injured in the anti-LGBTQ massacre in CO. The weaponization of our existence for political aims comes with bloody consequences. I pray for the safety & futures of the most vulnerable in the LGBTQ community. Choose peace.

I was brave last night and went to a drag show at our only LGBTQIA+ bar. I made 4 new irl friends (2 of them trans women) and we had the best night singing and dancing at the show ❤💖❤💖

I absolutely adore the LGBTQIA+ community and I wouldn't be here today without them!!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. A difficult day for many, including my son, a trans young adult.
I am horrified by the mass shooting last night at Club Q, in Colorado Springs, CO. A terrible hate crime - again. My deepest condolences and empathy to everyone affected.

Politicians are saying "We have to do more to protect the LGBTQ [IA+] community..." as though we haven't been advocating for protection under the law, for over 50 years.

L'Italia è il paese con il più alto numero di Transicidi dell'UE, un primato del quale avremmo fatto volentieri a meno. L'odio transfobico è un problema davanti agli occhi di tutt* e, purtroppo, ancora troppo sottovalutato. In una società che si sta evolvendo e sta sviluppando sensibilità su argomenti considerati tabù, fino a pochi anni fa, ci aspettiamo dalle istituzioni delle azioni mirate a tutelare e "destigmatizzare" le persone transgender, partendo ovviamente dalle scuole.
