Farmers sometimes use #chromatography to to take a “photo” of the compounds & bacteria in soil. As plants grow, they absorb nutrients. Every time we eat we are, in a sense, eating the land. As part of the Chinese diaspora, chromatography helps me visualize the land of my ancestors.
