I’m told that in #Kent in days of yore i.e. 1960s you could go to a tea shop and get toasted buttered ( #English ) #crumpets in the winter but not Summer, and toasted buttered #teaCakes in the Summer but not Winter. Possibly neither in #hotCrossBun season, we’re not sure.
