When it comes to making tea "in the wilderness" I've come round to two solutions:

1. Pill bottle alcohol stove.
This is a minimalist method of heating using an open flame and alcohol as the fuel. It's VERY clean leaving no soot marks on pots or surfaces. It's super light. It's aesthetically pleasing-- and that matters when making tea!

The downside is the lower power. It takes a bit longer to boil water than with other methods, but why rush tea? 🧵

Water brewed in iron tetsubins has a heavier mineral content and an earthy Qi. It brings to the water or tea a depth and richness which make it suitable for brewing heavily roasted teas, aged teas, puerh or red teas.
