I make tea every now and again and I’m using literal British varieties I get while in Britain but whatever I’m doing here in the ole USA it ends up being “meh” at best and tasting like boiled cinders at worst.

I'm new to tea drinking. What's the favored way of steeping: Leave the infuser/bags in or let reach desired strength and remove. I've been leaving it in, so last cup is noticeably stronger than the first (which doesn't bother me).

I think it also come from the fact that teas from Vietnam, Kenya, Malawi, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Ouganda, Laos, Georgia were not as easily available when I was actively buying teas. My sister made me discover a black tea from Kerugoya (Kenya), one from Tyolo (Malawi) and a mix from green torrefied green Japanese tea and black Chinese tea. I really liked the ones from Kenya and Malawi (the one from Malawi being my favorite) I was not used at all to this kind of flavours as mainly drink Chinese & Japanese teas. I can't wait to discover more! I also realised how limited my tea knowledge was
