Ok Londoners and those of similar tea drinking nature, how do you prepare your tea?

What’s the temp on the kettle, how long do ya steep, etc?

I make tea every now and again and I’m using literal British varieties I get while in Britain but whatever I’m doing here in the ole USA it ends up being “meh” at best and tasting like boiled cinders at worst.
