The sugar enhanced the flavour a bit, as expected. Also there's some sediment in the cup so the flavour is evolving. Now to fridge it and wait. It's so nice to be finally growing some tea herbs! Next I'm going to try a mix of chamomile and lavender I dried a few weeks ago. That's all of my tea herbs so far; I'd like to add peppermint to the tea garden next.

Genuinely considering taking my (gersande.com/tea/) and turning it into garden or jardin dot gersande or something and having a general knowledge wiki for my notes.

I really love the idea of a personal knowledge wiki, but I also kind of want to be able to set privacy settings on certain pages. Or have a full offline version of this wiki that lives on my computer and then a public version up on the block. Hrm.

'A Race Against the Tide'
I tuned around from photographing the Tea Garden to saw these youngsters trying to get around and under the pier - literally racing the tide. Even crossing under the pier is now highly risky with rusting chunks simply falling of it without warning. And, did they make it? Who knows. Other have tried and failed in the past!

'The end of the Birnbeck Tea Garden'

Several tons of scalpings have been deposited against the end wall of the burned-out Tea Garden building. You walk over these stones now as part of the footpath down to the shoreline - which I'm stood on.
In the middle of the photo you can clearly see the tidal front on it's way into Clevedon Bay and the mud-flat it is covering.
