You would help us operate and maintain our microscopes [2 Krioses (1 with Bioquantum K3, the other w/ SelectrisX F4i), 1 Glacios (K2) and 1 Talos (side-entry, CetaD)], support our portfolio of research and drug discovery projects mainly with single-tilt data collection and processing, but also developing #cryoET workflows and experiments for targets of interest. It’s early days for #teamtomo in drug discovery, but there’s a bright future ahead - come help us shape it!
I have a new vacancy in my team for cryoEM scientist interested in developing cryoFIB milling approaches and cellular cryoET. As always, we will be pushing the boundaries with cryoET #teamtomo. Position is based at Oxford, UK. Please help spread the word. https://jobs.thermofisher.com/i/global/en/job/222364BR/Applications-Scientist-Cryo-Tomography

#Introduction My name is Dennis and I'm a postdoc in the Justin Taraska lab at the NHLBI. I currently work on the computational side of cryoET method development. I still have much to learn and am very grateful for the #teamtomo community! It has been an invaluable resource for my research, and I hope to return the favor!
#Introduction I'm Ben Barad, a postdoc working with Danielle Grotjahn at Scripps Research to investigate mitochondrial fission using cryo-ET. Previously I was in the Fraser Lab at UCSF studying mammalian chitinases. I love building new methods for structural biology, and am motivated to make #teamtomo more open and accessible. I'll post mostly about the new science I am excited about, with a sprinkling of coffee, food, open access, tech, 3D printing, puzzles, and tabletop games.
