A community I'd really love to find here is #TeamADHD boosters. (#TeamADHDBooster s?) What I mean is the #neurotypical partners, parents, and other carers of people with #ADHD who are actively working to support, encourage, and advocate for their #neurodivergent loved ones, and who might welcome support and camaraderie from other people similarly situated. My reasons are almost entirely selfish: I think i could really benefit from this kind of fellowship. 1/x

@knittymag And then you wrestle with rejection sensitive dysphoria ... I used to wonder if my husband had been abused. I couldn't understand his trauma responses to seemingly insignificant incidents. Then I learned about #rsd.

Now our son (10) has #adhd. We work very hard to try to spare him the trauma of growing up wondering what is "wrong" with him. And yet, even at his age, he uses these exact same phrases to describe himself sometimes. 💔 Thank you for sharing.
