The laws and regulations are there. What we need is tools to hold companies accountable! Over the decades they have weaponized the legal profession: in the few cases that end up as settlements, those are seen as the cost of doing business. #TeamHuman

A financial #crash caused by “woke” #AI is a non-negligible risk for the #Biden camp.

Difficult to navigate.

Best scenario would be a public scandal sooner than later. Then, Biden could send in FTC, SEC etc to “cool” the industry like they did in #crypto after last years scandals.

This way Biden will avoid to openly attack #BigTech but decrease the risk of a blow-out during the election campaign.

Totally got the warm & fuzzies after listening to this great podcast episode by @Rushkoff - lots of discussion about the distributed nature of libraries, using technology to find your people and current trends/shift in both topics.

I've gotten back into my local library in the last month or two and while the modern technical advances have been excellent, nothing beats wandering through a random aisle of books and picking up something that you'll never stumble upon in a Google search.
