Cada vez son menos las excusas para comprar una laptop por #movilidad para trabajar a distancia. Aunque la velocidad sigue siendo una muy buena.
Las #iPad se vuelven cada vez más versátiles, y las apps de acceso a distancia (#TeamViewer supliendo el viejo ssh, por ejemplo) de los equipos estáticos cierran gran parte de la brecha.
Ahora, sí tan solo hubiera una manera de leer discos de imágenes (#TAC #IRM #US) o tener máquinas virtuales, podría yo botar la #MBPro.

I'm playing with #RustDesk which you can #selfhost for free, and it works in a similar way to #teamviewer.
It's great if you just want a remote control system.

Die Funktionalitaet ist in etwas gleich und die die Geschwindigkeit ist bei weitem nicht so schlecht wie ich dachte. *Daumen hoch*

They insist we have to pay them the renewal and next year be sure to cancel 28 days in advance. Oh hell no. The card they had on file was expired so - whatever.
They actually turned us over to collections!!! Added a $150 in fees. Are you serious right now?? 😂 You can't just set an arbitrary cancellation deadline, then say PAY ME. Needless to say they won't see a dime. What a scummy business practice #TeamViewer Do better.

We used them as a backup quickremote support option if we had any trouble with our RMM or to deal with non managed clients. It did the job simple enough, was white labeled, and we'd used them for years. This year they jacked their prices WAY up, so we decided to finally cancel and move to something else. 2 weeks before our renewal, we try to cancel. "Sorry you must cancel 28 days before your renewal" LOL no. Cancel. They refuse..

I need to compile, so local code editor would not do. When I try connecting to my #iMac via #Teamviewer it doesn’t send a lot of special key codes: Esc, F1-F12, Cmd+arrows. And some keystrokes are bound to the local system, ex. Cmd+Space opens iPad’s spotlight, not the remote one.
Is there an alternative remote desktop app that will fully capture keyboard and send raw keycodes? Or should I give up and buy a macbook?
