Figured out how to fix #video #tearing in #xfce on #linux with #amdgpu driver : simply enable the display #compositor - thought I'd tried it before, but maybe I was doing it wrong, or it didn't work properly in earlier versions (I was on Debian Buster/stable for a long while, now on Bullseye/testing).

bon, Buster ne supporte plus les drivers nvidia 304 😫
du coup je n'arrive pas à supprimer le tearing à l'écran et donc les films c'est tout nul et pas beau.
Si quelqu'un a une solution pour supprimer le tearing avec le driver Nouveau je suis preneur, sinon je vais re-installer Strech :( (compton ne change rien à l'affaire, je suis sous xfce)

(pour info c'est pour mon mediacenter, une eMachine Atlhon x2, avec une très vielle GeForce 6150SE donc.)

If you've problems with tearing on Firefox (especially in fullscreen-mode) under Linux, try this:

about:config -> layers.acceleration.force-enabled -> true -> restart Firefox

Has solved my issues with a very old AMD HD6850 on Ubuntu 19.04.

Hach ja - da installierste dir ne alte Möhre mit 2360P CPU, AMD Radeon HD6850 mit Pop!_OS und.. Tearing wie Sau (1080p YT Videos). Mit der GTX760 ist es besser, nach viel Wurschtelei in der xorg.conf, aber so sauber wie bei der HD6850 unter Win bekomme ich es einfach nicht. Könnte 🤮...

Ideen? Habe schon einige Tipps durch von https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA/Troubleshooting & Co..
