Goal for today in #technomancy:
Refactor how stack elements are put on the stack. The difficulty is that the elements can come at different points during the game. For example when playing a card, the card itself, or for example when you activate a card for resources _while playing another card_.
Next week I'll have a three week vacation, and will be able to work on #technomancy the whole time 😻
I love the AGPL and am using it for #technomancy.
But I am carving out a big part of it by saying that 'card expansions' can be exempt from the AGPL.
The idea being that while the game engine is going to always be available. The cards from it are not. I don't like this. But I don't see an alternative to using state power to ensure that I could pay everybody involved in making said card expansion.
Are there any FLOSS games with paid DLC that are flourishing?
In the #technomancy engine I'm writing, the main game routine works like this right now:
- get the latest gamestate
- Apply the rules of the game
- Determine a list of 'changes'
- Apply the changes
Repeat until the game is done with the current stage.
Now, this setup is interesting, because #rust has the borrow checker! And step #1 borrows the latest gamestate, and step #4 pushes to the vector containg that latest gamestate!
Luckily the checker is powerful enough to make it work!
Alright, I have lots of free time today! This means, it's time to hack on #technomancy
It is something I use in my #technomancy implementation: https://github.com/TheNeikos/technomancy/blob/67e48e51ad324cd0eb3098e013953b424d3587dc/technomancy_engine/src/lib.rs#L41-47
(Granted, its a uuid in this case, but the point still stands)
If you generalize the pattern, you can make a Hashmap a 'quasi' struct, since you can enforce the shape of the keys.

Last year I had great fun sitting down with @Alleywurds for a chat about the occult, how agile methodology might apply to it, the dangers and influence of technology on culture and,of course, music. Now available to listen to on youtube and spotify

Hey, so I write #fiction. (Link in bio.)
My #shortstories have appeared in multiple #anthology collections.
My #urbanfantasy series center on Cat Sharp, an IT tech living in #lasvegas gifted with #technomancy yet burdened by a connection to the goddess of Discord, Eris. In the first book of the series, Wild Card, Eris has wagered Cat's soul in a game of poker with other #trickster deities, and Cat must get in on the action if she wants to be free of the gods forever. Marius, a #satyr with his own secrets, is up to helping so long as there's something in it for him.
Readers have compared the series to #thedresdenfiles by Jim Butcher and "Coyote Blue" by @TheAuthorGuy .
There are 4 books so far, with plans for 2 more and short story accompaniments. Available in print, #ebook and the first 2 books are on #audible if you're into that.
So yeah, link in bio to all of my work.

On this month's episode of my podcast Gregor and I discuss video rituals, discordian ARGs, the use of AI in the occult, and the body of Yog-Sothoth.

So I just attempted to play around with #NightCafe like this for the first time. I usually mainly use Night Cafe to better visualize things for my writing projects, but this was... an experience. A powerful one.
Thank you, @Alleywurds! #technomancy
@Alleywurds I use a predictive text program and a computer in a DSIC setup, where the crystal is the computer and I invite the spirit I'm communicating with to collaborate with me in writing poems or songs to be used in rituals related to them. I guess it's #technomancy
Does anyone else here use contemporary technology in their magickal practice? What words do you use to describe it? #technomancy? #cybermancy? #technopaganism?

"Several books are recommended throughout Technomancy 101. The following additional recommendations range in technicality from beginner tutorials to works of high scholarship. Titles marked with an asterisk (*) are especially academic in nature, but I would not discourage anyone from reading them—great challenges yield great rewards!"
