Got a Wacom One drawing tablet for Father's Day. Been practicing drawing to sketch out some art for RPG ideas I'm working on, maybe add some art to games I run for my group online.

My brain convinced me that going from paper to tech would be seamless. Brain is a fool. Off to learn how Inkscape works...

For a while now my Wordpress site that documented my Mississippi River through paddle (travelingriversideblog.com), hosted on
NearlyFreeSpeech, has been down because of an error that states: "Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress." Any troubleshooting advice? New graphics card is installed. Crossing my fingers this fixes the issue of the second monitor blanking until I unplug the monitor cable and replace it with a different cable, which will eventually have to be swapped for the first cable when the monitor blanks again in a week. #techProblems #graphicsCard

The only thing that might be worse than taking a vacation and getting sick, is taking a vacation and dealing with a disk failure. Woke up yesterday and discovered my #raspberrypi NAS's main drive was corrupted. Dunno why I thought using a pi for this was a good idea.

The thing about #tech is that it’s inherently imperfect. Sometimes it creates more problems than it solves. What’s important is working out what your #outcome is because it can be so easy to sit there and be grumpy about a webpage of #memes not loading. Turns out I have a preference for now I want to waste my time and seeing a spinning wheel is not it #techproblems
