I'm still hesitant about and . I don't think I can resist much longer. While many are drawn to the past (that never was) and dark(est) dungeons, I'm drawn to the future and the stars. On the side I make a detour to the "fantastic Middle Ages" of the last (30) , one of my next books will be:

Went for a walk in Aberdeenshire last night, near Maryculter. A couple I met told me that the lands were gifted to the local Laird's ancestors by King Richard as a reward for taking part in the Crusades. Seems to be true. and Knights of St John did occupy the area.

This paved part is near Aberdeen bypass and stinks of burnt rubber and guzzolene. There are entire derelict farmsteads evidently cleared to make way for it. Lovely views in the other directions though.

“The lunatic is all idée fixe, and whatever he comes across confirms his lunacy. You can tell him by the liberties he takes with common sense, by his flashes of inspiration, and by the fact that sooner or later he brings up the Templars.”

@BriRhys on the Birdsite posted this piece about Lamb Island and North Dog and South Dog skerries in East Lothian. Owned by Uri Geller for mystical reasons. There’s not a lot to do there.

Uri Geller on why he bought Lamb Island: urigeller.com/why-i-bought-lam

“This island has links not only to the pyramids, but to King Arthur, King Robert the Bruce and to the ancient Kings of Ireland too.”
