I definitely prefer #TempleOfDoom, but concede that it has many issues and is mostly because of nostalgia.

For Temple of Doom, although the entire picture was set abroad, the Shanghai airport at which Indy, Willie & Short Round board their doomed flight aboard Lao Che Air Freight, arranged by Dan Aykroyd in a blink-and-miss-him cameo, is the decommissioned Hamilton Air Force Base, just a few miles north of West Marin Island, also in the North Bay of San Francisco.
While the airplane hangers still stand, they’ve been modernized and now operate as an office park.

The thing that struck me the first time I saw #TempleOfDoom, aside from the poor guy getting his heart torn out, was the multilingual skill #IndianaJones exhibited. When he and Short Round argued in Cantonese and English in India, then when Indy started reciting the Hindu chant to activate the Sankara Stones, I thought that was the most fantastic thing ever.🙂
Then I saw #RaidersOfTheLostArk and Beloq was multilingual.🙄

I'll give it a 7/10, considering that for me #RaidersOfTheLostArk is an 8.5/10, #TempleOfDoom is a 6, #LastCrusade is a 10 and Kingdom is a 7 also.

By comparison, only two Indys are marketed to children: #TempleOfDoom (Short Round) and #CrystalSkull (Mutt). For the most part, Indy is an aging historical figure, not someone kids immediately relate to.

Unproduced. Later, the entire dept was fired. Turned out, the poll takers in the "test audience" were just remote Amazon Mechanical Turkers, living in Ethiopia, working for pennies a day and, quite literally, starving.

Didn’t hurt that it was also set in India 🇮🇳.
I know it’s widely regarded as the X3 of the franchise, so will be interesting to rewatch it now.
