@Homebrewandhacking @jamesmullen City of Mist sounds promising. If you want to use separate systems, Robin D. Laws' Drama System would work well for the billionaire story. For the superhero story, well, how existential is this threat? You could use #dread or #tencandles to represent reality unraveling, but those are both one-shot games. #masks is great, but it's a heavy PbtA game. So not sure.

We just played “Ten candles”.
Such an intense and creepy experience. You blow a candle every time you lose until there’s no light left, and then you stay there in complete darkness. Dead.

#TenCandles a great game that emulates tragic horror stories.
The „weird“ aspects are the ritualistic, LARP-y elements of the game, which I’m usually not a big fan of: You burn character sheets, use real candles as a timer, recite kind of a ritual phrase. The game really creates a quite unique atmosphere

@HeyeBodo Ich mag #Lovecraftesque, bei dem die Spielenden gemeinsam mit wechselnder Rollen die Geschichte einer Person und ihren Weg in den Abgrund erzählen.
Außerdem #TenCandles, das mit dem langsam ausgehenden Lichtern und dem ritualisierten Wiederholen von "Diese Dinge sind wahr. Die Welt ist dunkel. Und wir sind am Leben." eine sehr dichte Atmosphäre schafft.

On Friday I will play #TenCandles like the 12th time 🤔 I played in a big city, small town, Arctic science station, on a hike. Any other suggestions for settings and concepts? #Horror #TTRPG I also thinking about exploring demons and hell analogies as I never played with them.

We put this off in October because I got sick, but so happy we were able to reschedule (not easy when you've got players on both sides of the pond). I absolutely love Ten Candles. I'm an avid horror fan and GM and I'm excited to be introducing a lot of players who haven't played to it. It'll be live on my twitch channel (in my linktree)

#TenCandles is a master class in: how rules define the beat of the story. There is something special in knowing your character will die, and you only have certain moments with them.
#Dread teaches to accept that RPGs started with dices but certainly don't end with them. Never had so much suspense, and dread on a table.
