McConnel's Building on Hope Street in Glasgow.

Designed by John Keppie in an Art Nouveau style, it was constructed for the Glasgow City Improvement Trust in 1906.

Old bell-pulls on a tenement, . Mostly supplanted by modern door intercoms, you still find some of these on Victorian tenements. Occasionally some still work! Friend had a flat with a working one, pull the knob, jangle-jangle of bells in her flat. Naturally I pulled it every time I went around!

This is a great little tenement building on Bell Street in Glasgow. It's dated 1896 and also has a nice Glasgow Coat of Arms on its stepped gable.

Ornate lamp featuring the Glasgow Coat of Arms over the entrance to a tenement close in the Strathbungo area of the city.

A nice example of a Glasgow Style tenement from the Calton area of Glasgow, complete with a turreted corner bay topped by an ogee cupola and finial.

Built in 1900, this is what is known as a splayed corner tenement, because of the obtuse angle between the facades on the two adjoining streets. This makes it the opposite of the more iconic gushet style corner tenement.

A wonderful circular corner bay window topped by a Glasgow Style dome and finial on a tenement on Whitehill Street in the east end of Glasgow. I always love coming across features like these as they are so typical of the city's everyday architecture.
