After using a real ergonomic keyboard (somewhat split + ortholinear + wells), I'd never want to touch a "normal" keyboard again. And it was fun to learn how the "normal" keyboard was designed to meet physical limitations that are no longer around.
Basically, normal keyboards are worst-case design (not exaggerated).
