Before it was a Hechingers, 4555 Wisconsin (the corner of Wisconsin and Brandywine) opened as a Giant in 1939, with a house still occupying what is now the CVS parking lot.

CVS moved into the building in the 1990’s, after Hechingers replaced Sears across the street.
