Tennessee Republicans have some whoop-ass coming their way. Between their insane abortion ideas, their outright refusal to address the growing gun violence problem in the state, and their overtly racist, anti-democratic expulsion of two black lawmakers, it's clear they are disconnected from their constituents, and have no intention of being reasonable. Election Day will be a day a reckoning for these enemies of the people.

Tennessee House Speaker Sexton (R) appears to be in serious legal violation of the election, representing a district in which he is not a resident. My grandparents were from Tennessee and I was born when they moved to Philadelphia with their six daughters, oldest of which was my mother. I grew up repulsed by the south and the stories I heard about the violence to black people.
I was obviously a perceptive little kid and chose sides as a child.
