Last night at my gig job at Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA), I learned an interesting tidbit about Ethan Hawke (who came to TFANA last night with his wife Ryan). Hawke is a distant relative of Tennessee Williams. The current production at TFANA is Tennessee Williams's "Orpheus Descending."

I saw ran across a set last night from "Summer and Smoke" (1961), the film based on the #TennesseeWilliams play.

#GeraldinePage also played sexually-repressed Alma in an off-Brodways revival. #LaurenceHarvey plays young doctor, John Buchanan, Jr. It's set in a small Mississippi town just before World War I.

A brilliant movie starring two of the best actors the US and Britain have produced.

Just came from seeing #TheRoseTattoo at #TheShakespeareTheatreOfNJ and loved it! Antoinette Lavecchia’s Serafina just *pops* with energy and charm. And I laughed—and laughter isn’t something I associate with #TennesseeWilliams. Playing through June 18th.

In the times I went to our local writers group I gained many random books via Secret Santas etc. I've found that reading lays is something it is easy to dip in & out of over a long time. I've finished "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?" And I'm currently on #SweetBirdOfYouth - but also in a way I feel I should just crack on and finish it! Perfect day on Sunday. More sun than expected. A looooong walk along the river Main, a yummy ice cream. Then the #EnglishTheatre. It was not the play that was originally on this season's schedule. But it sounded good enough. #TennesseeWilliams, #SuddenlyLastSummer. As usual with Williams, full of people with problems, personal dramas, very emotional. The acting was very good. I later found out that there was a TV adaption with Rob Lowe. Will check that out as well.
