Okay, now my thoughts.
#TenochHuerta 's saying "We're all marinating in this toxic stew that fills our heads with belittling, and even self-denigrating thoughts. It's bad for just about everyone. Let's change that!" and folks get out the scythes & pitchforks. (And...going after kids? I get the strategy - unbalance the parent so you can further damage them - but that's untrammeled cowardice & bullshit.)
Reminds me of something...oh yes, this. (The sentiment, obvs, not the Dude.)

My late-December book haul, in no particular order! It's ironic that even in Latin America there were questions of why a mestizo (mixed Spanish and South American Indian parentage, generally with lighter skin color) wasn't chosen for the role. This antiquated & vicious bias has to be broken .

Do you have ANY idea how difficult it is to ACT underwater? These actors were holding their breath for up to six and a half minutes at a time. The dedication from #TenochHuerta, #MabelCadena and every other actor that acted underwater is so admirable. I REALLY hope we get to see more #Talocan in the #MCU. 🙏

Hubby and I finally saw #WakandaForever! We really enjoyed the storytelling, the world building, and the amazing sets and costumes. I'm very intrigued by what could be done with the Talokan world. K'uk'ulkan is a great character, beautifully played by #TenochHuerta. It was amazing to hear the #YucatecMaya language, too.
