When there’s currently no transgender women competing at elite level in World Athletics competitions, it’s obvious that their decision to preemptively exclude them is being led by the transphobic fringe set on spreading hate and fear.

I personally don’t see the attraction of athletics, but my heart goes out to women all over the world who now feel less welcome taking part in the sports they love.

Feminism is not about exclusion. Feminism should be about empowering women to make their own choices, live free from discrimination, and lead lives doing what they love. This should be especially true for our trans sisters.

None of us are free until all of us are free.
