But it wasn't the #TERFWars that drove me back to Twitter. It was the purging of #BlackMastodon. Along with #ScottishTwitter, #BlackTwitter was one of my favorite parts of the birdsite. Without #BlackMastodon I was convinced the non-weird, non-troll part of Mastodon would degenerate into a lily-white monoculture. And so I gave up.

Which is why I'm glad that #BlackTwitter's such a major force in the #TwitterMigration.

Last time I was around, '18-9, the #TERFWars were raging. Just yesterday, shortly after my return, I decided to check my following. Lo and behold, I found one of the prime instigators on the TERF side, Laurelei, there. I decided to check her profile. All I got was a visit from our old friend 503. And then I remembered her instance folded even before I left.
