I am loving #TerminatorRPG and the #SLAIndustries system it's based on, but I normally prefer fantasy games.

D&D was my favorite game for thirty years. I reckon it's going to take a fair bit of time before I'll know what's taking its place.

Right now I'm on a buying/reading rampage across pre-2000 non-TSR fantasy RPGs. #RuneQuest, #Earthdawn, #PalladiumFantasy

@GelatinousRube Gonna scratch me a White Whale off my list-- a #TerminatorRPG Sarah Connor Chronicles game set in the months leading up to Judgment Day.

Not going to set goals for writing games this year-- let's just hope I have progress to boast of next year.

If you asked me for a lifetime top 5, three of my choices would be D&D.

Favorite D&D is between BECMI and Player's Option. Always. All other D&D picks are for adding to BECMI and/or Player's Option.

Favorite not D&D right now: I'm loving #TerminatorRPG by #NightfallGames and the old #StreetFighterRPG by #WhiteWolf.

Currently collecting non-RIFTS #Palladium, #RuneQuest, and #RokuganD20.

Trying to gather up my real-life players for my #TerminatorRPG campaign, "Scoundrels in Paradise". My real-life players are not *having* it, though much of this is difficult work/school/holiday schedules.

"Slice of life" roleplaying about being freelance guerrillas in a warzone that doesn't *know* it's a warzone yet... and you're trying to keep it that way, by any means necessary.

What is not to love, here?

Currently planning to run #TerminatorRPG game, "Scoundrels in Paradise". Human Resistance Fighters in the 90s doing "slice of life" survival. Game starts in early 1997.

@enfors I live and die for fantasy. From the outside it looks like I play a broad diversity of genres... but the one thing that (almost) all of them have in common is pervasive fantasy elements.

#Shadowrun and #StarWars , #StreetFighterRPG , and on and on.

Most of my "scifi" games are actually skiffy AF. The only real exception is #TerminatorRPG which might be the only damn game I run as-is.

Oh, a lot of franchises that people like to "translate" to D&D already have their own official RPGs. They vary in quantity, but there's usually some effort to make the system fit the fiction, rather than trying to wrap the frayed hide of the fiction around the system.

I got my #terminatorrpg books the other night. I've had the PDFs for ages, of course, and I'd... kinda forgotten I had the hard copies coming to me.

For as much as #NightfallGames told me it wasn't going to be my cup of tea-- they were strongly focusing on the 2020s and 2030s era of play-- it... really ended up having everything I knew I needed/wanted for the 1990s game I wanted to run, and a lot of stuff I didn't know I needed/wanted.

Really heavily recommended.
