My daughter’s friend came over for a Shabbos play date, and her mother stayed to chat. She turned out to be Naomi Shulman who wrote one of my favorite books! “My Sister Has a Scooter” is a children’s book that perfectly illustrates a foundational concept of Jewish spirituality: teshuvah. It is an abstract concept that can be hard to explain, especially to children, but this book does it so well that adults can also learn from it. @mazeldon #ShabbosReads #Teshuvah #Mazeldon

@Jennifer_Pinkley Seeing as how #Teshuvah is ~9 months away I'm gonna have to write down all the grievances I air - so as to repent for them... I'll probably end up having to repent much sooner. I'm getting up there in years! Wouldn't want to tempt fate! 😂
@rockymcrockerson the ideas are good (and ostensibly the point of Judaism).
My mixed feelings come from a combination of #supercessionism and #misinformation.
For example, everybody should refrain from #LashonHara, #Jewish or not and we ought to be the example of what that looks like so others will recognize why. But if #Christians call something Lashon Hara and convince everybody that's what it really means, it undermines our example. Same with #Teshuvah.
