Chodesh /χoˈdeʃ/ (Hebrew) = month

(also Tebeth, a dated transliteration) /teˈvet (Hebrew), ˈtɛvɛt (Jewish English)/ = 4th month of the civil year, 10th month of the ecclesiastical year, in the Hebrew calendar. Corresponds to December-January in the Gregorian calendar. The word is borrowed from Akkadian (where it meant, roughly, “mud month/wet month”).

Rosh Chodesh Tevet = beginning of the month of Tevet
