Okay this is a bad trend. I went out to eat lunch with some friends (Hard Eight bbq) and we stepped out of the air conditioned main dining room to the outside yet shaded outside dining area. “Wow these people are actually eating out here in the heat.” But after my friend and I agreed that “well you know, it actually isn’t all that bad” he looked up the temperature on his weather app. 104F/40C. Holy shit. “OMG we’re getting used to this!”

It is sad when you wake up at 6am and hear that the AC is _not_ running and you can’t help but think it’s broken, only to discover that the temp outside finally dipped low enough for it to stop for a few minutes. The low at sunrise was 77.9F, the lowest it’s been all week (currently at 95F and rising). Looking forward to the weekend and next week.
