Anyone know any good resources tracking patterns/prints across 20th century time periods—not upper-class, but middle- & working-class fabrics/clothing? I’m currently looking for 1980s

This is the corner of my sewing room where I keep my research books on #DressHistory, #ElizabethanPortraiture, #TextileHistory, #Tapestry, #Heraldry, #PreRaphaelites, and the like. There are four tall bookshelves all told (IKEA Billy bookcases + antique furniture is so me).

The last thing I saw before twitter broke again.

This Sunday February 26, "At Home With c19th Dress and Textiles Reframed" is inviting everyone to share their research and WIPs!
"Please come along and share with us for a couple minutes about what you are working on in 19th c dress & textiles - or something you would like to work on - and any burning questions you might have about your work. You are also welcome to bring along ONE slide of images to show us if you like! (but images are not an essential requirement)"
You can also just attend & listen if you don't have anything to share (or don't want to) - I'm sure it will be an inspiring afternoon and look forward to hearing what others are working on.
Admission is free. If you'd like to join, register here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/at-home-with-c19th-dress-and-textiles-reframed-26-february-2023-tickets-527732430907

The lace I copied was this #Boston area (?) #calash that I love. It's enormous. I don't have the lace dimensions but I used a typical grid size.

However--I would like to also note that during the #RevolutionaryWar, Hannah Adams noted that she turned to #BobbinLace because it was a better gig. Thanks to @jlbellwriter for this tip, we use it on our #IpswichLace poster. https://boston1775.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-hannah-adams-spent-revolutionary.html
Also, here is a piece of reproduction lace I finished yesterday. Just because. #TextileHistory
