i am a huge fan of #SetApp and use my subscription on my iPad Pro, two macs, and my iPhone. one of my _FAVORITE_ tools is called #TextSniper.

basically you hit a keybind (cmd+shift+2 for me) and drag a box and it copies whatever text it recognizes in your box into your pasteboard so you can paste it into a message or notes easily.

i use it every day. dozens of times. it's amazing and when people see me doing it in workshops they always _ALWAYS_ ask how i do that 😂

@edbott I don't understand. You DID just quote-post @taylorlorenz by including the screenshot of her post. In your post above the screenshot, you could have added your 2¢ instead of writing that you cannot add your 2¢.

You also included alt text, and I like that. (With TextSniper you can easily copy the text from the screenshot into the clipboard and then paste it into the alt-text box.)

It's as if QT is not needed. Perhaps that's your point

Note that screenshots carry the added burden of including alt text (unless you are thinking of stiffing the visually impaired, which I assume you are not).

I find TextSniper a good way to copy text from a screenshot into the clipboard, FWIW. It can then be pasted into the alt text field.
