For the last day of #TextureWeek in #fiberuary, I am posting this mosaic baby blanket I made for my eldest. I love that the secondary color was a thicker yarn than the primary - that really made the mosaic pop!
Another #fibruary #TextureWeek entry: #interlocking #crochet scarf made of #SockYarn. Simple and effective. Pattern by Bronislava 4 HandmadeRukodelky on YouTube: https://youtu.be/N6xHtdvO3BQ

@statsjew What a beautiful pattern!!! I really love it!
And the perfect colour 🥰
A lovely sweater in cotton that I spent ages on for #fiberuary #TextureWeek (and an alpaca)

Another example of "crochet is intrinsically textured" - even very simple stitches create texture.

#Fiberuary texture week continues!

I thought this shawl was a pretty fun design with all the different stitches/textures but I didn't love it in the two colours it was designed for. So I went with bunch of minis/leftovers plus a contrast colour and I love it. Made it last year around this time and it's still in rotation when it's cold.

Another one for #fiberuary #TextureWeek
Pattern is Favorite Cardigan by Wendy Bernard. I made it out of Artyarns Supermerino and it was, indeed, my favourite cardigan. Very sad that my stupid, ineffectual thyroid robbed me of being able to wear it anymore 😕

The pattern here is a simple one-one rib, shifted every 6 rows. Toe up, afterthought heel, Berrocco Vintage (wears like iron, machine wash and dry)

A spiral spun yarn for #TextureWeek day 3. Spun on a drop spindle and plied on a wheel. One thick single spun over the fold, one thin single spun straight from the top. #spinning #FiberSpinning #fiberuary

Another #Fiberuary texture piece: the reverse of my February shawl is looking delightfully spiky, even though it's going to get blocked flat eventually. One of these days I'll learn how to block spiky things, though!

It's texture week for #Fiberuary so here's some texture I'm wearing around my neck today. This is an old Romi Hill mystery knit made out of this yarn called "floating" that is so aptly named. It's got alpaca in it and it's light and fluffy and oh so warm.

Looking for something to post for texture week has made me realise how little texture work I’ve done. Seeing other people’s posts is inspiring me to want to add more texture work to my queue.
This is a jumper that I made for my BFF’s partner for his 30th as a joint present from us both (she bought the yarn, I did the knitting). The pattern is Sir Lancelot by Drops design. I made it in 2014 but I seem to remember it was a fun knit

For #fiberuary #TextureWeek: the #crochet Copenhagen jacket designed by Tammy Hildebrand and with added cables for working with thinner #yarn. The yarn is #finnsheep bought at purewol.nl that sells yarn and #fibre from their own flocks of #sheep. The pattern is available on archive.org:

OK, time for texture week! I am really into entrelac these days - looks fancy and complicated, mostly just stockinette and picking up stitches. Here is my current WIP, a sweater for my 5-year-old. #TextureWeek #knitting #fiberuary
