#Minnesota #aviation peeps: a friendly reminder that there is a Presidential #TFR tomorrow, and the inner ring(s) will encompass MSP, STP, ANE, MIC, and effectively FCM. Others in the outer rings include 21D, 25D, LVN, SYN, OEO, CBG, FCE, and RNH. Check your TFRs to avoid an unpleasant interception and certificate action.

Anyone have any experience with this so far and formed any opinions? Any downsides to opting in that are not immediately apparent?

@Carwil @breakfastmtn @ocdtrekkie #tfr is a solution to a problem unique to Mastodon. Which is search without tagging. On Calckey and the other Key forks for instance I can search the whole fediverse without a # tag and find what I'm looking for. So this bullshit about opt-in/opt-out search engines are just Mastodon posturing. This whole conversation could be stopped if Eugene would make non # search a default function of the software.

I opted into #TootFinder a global Mastodon search index. I just added #tfr to my bio and submitted my username at https://www.tootfinder.ch
