What does the shape of this 300+ year old good condition roof tell you?

It tells you that the beams are branches of trees or pieces of driftwood from the beach.

Lopsided thatch roofs like this are commonplace in 3-centuries-old, mud-walled in

I just, out of sheer curiosity, did some online research into a house I rented back in the mid 1960's.
Turns out, as I suspected, it was first built around 1700, thatched of course, and has been massively extended during its use (as a farmhouse).
But what I really wanted to know was, who was the ghost who haunted it. That I cannot discover.

能「安宅」
板取宿
《福井県南条郡南越前町板取》
「板取宿」の茅葺民家は、その「ふくいの伝統的民家」に認定されています。
いっぽうで空き家も多く、住まなくなって何年も経つような建物も見られます。聞くところによると、昭和５６年に福井県を襲った豪雪で、廃村状態になった。
なかには朽ち果てて倒壊寸前の建物もあり、行政からの立ち入り禁止看板が掲げられた民家がある。
「ふくいの伝統的民家」に指定されているものの、その維持と管理は大変難しいのです。
「板取宿」のある南越前町では、平成30年より空家対策計画を立てた
