I'm with @Verso. I like what I like.

I listen to a wide range of genres. But a good majority of it is rock.

Of other types of music I listen to, there are some types of pop, like indie/art pop, pop rock and alt rnb. As well as others.

It's not something I feel the need to hide.

Buuut...I guess one artist people might be surprised to know I've listened to & liked is Madonna.

Steven Universe is a wonderfully well written cartoon series that is diverse and LGBTQIA inclusive and if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it

I don't pretend not to like artists, but there are some I have maybe 1-2 songs that I like and don't care for the rest.

I feel far less ashamed now than in the past. But there IS something I enjoy from a band I don't like (or so I think).

The band is Duran Duran. I'm not particularly fond of them, but I like a couple of songs. Here is one of them.

The crucial word here is *pretend* - I dislike lots of artists, some of whom have recorded a good song or two.

I really can't think of any I now claim not to like but really do. In the past, though, the Strokes totally fit this bill. Trust-fund kids buying their way to stardom, I'd have said. But they recorded some damn good music.

I’m not a fan of reality pop star singing shows. I can kind of see the appeal, but I don’t like the way that this particular style of overproduced pop is the only sort of music we get on on mainstream tv now.

However, one singer stood out for me - Stacey Solomon. I believe the term adorkable was coined to describe her, and I secretly love some of her songs.
