Hand cranking apples on a vintage press. The juice is exactly as sweet and wonderful as you imagine it being. The Kune Kune (pronounced "koonie koonie") pigs thoroughly enjoyed some of the pressed apple scraps.

Our peanut harvest is complete.
These are Carwile’s Virginia Peanut, a heirloom variety from our local area. The given history says, "Grown by Frank Carwile for over 75 years since he was given this peanut by a traveler when he was 8 years old. He later tried other varieties but found none with a better flavor. "

Our cover crop has taken off and the bees are loving it. Look at that packed pollen pocket! We also had a nice turnout of Monarchs as well when they were migrating through.
All these blooms and buzz makes the whole area feel so enchanting.
