Drawing- and animation-wise, I don't think #Superman #TheAnimatedSeries was distinct enough from #Batman, but I do give credit that it was mostly set in daytime, in the semi-futuristic city of Metropolis. Batman was mostly at night and more of a period piece.

I liked #Superman #TheAnimatedSeries fine, but it could've been better. The #Character design for #ClarkKent too closely resembled #Batman The Animated Series #BruceWayne. Wayne was only redesigned when they did the #WorldsFinest crossover #Movie. STAS also didn't have an original intro but a series of clips from episodes b/c they were short of time to create an original intro.

Fun story. #TheAnimatedSeries was made during a #writersstrike; the show runner #DCFontana being a longtime writer herself knew the Union rules backwards and forwards. She knew any Union writer could write one episode of an animated series under the strike rules. So she went to every great writer she knew who needed work during the strike and offered them one episode. (wha) #StarTrek #STTAS #TAS
