“Maintaining a faintly louche physicality in a selection of suitably brown and beige ‘70s clothes, his eyes dart nervously across the room, indicating his tense isolation.”

“As far as I know, sex was a major preoccupation with people in the 17th century as well.”

#TbThursday to March 2013 when I watched “This House” by James Graham at the #NationalTheatre, an amazing immersive experience with some of the audience, including me, seated onstage, on the House of Commons benches, in the midst of the political drama of the late 1970s. Insightful, funny and moving. One of the most memorable productions I’ve seen at the NT.

“Toby Stephens is brilliant as Rod-Larsen, a man who knows the right thing to do but often doesn’t do it.”
