The band #TheAxisOfAwesome is known for its comedic songs. The lead singer is transgender, and, several years ago, they released a cover of a song called Transgender Dysphoria Blues (originally done by a band called “Against Me!”)

As a cisgender male, I’ve never had to struggle with the ignorance & bigotry faced by LGBTQ+ individuals. That said, I find this cover to be a beautiful & emotional song. Definitely a departure from the band’s typical songs.
