Not everyone is bare naked all the time, but the original does sprinkle a few nudes elsewhere in the book. One is full frontal, but again, penis only.

The revised version - one example only, hidden away in the note to parents. Two kids rear nude, the one facing the viewer is wearing clothes.

Stinson needs to put more bare naked people in future editions of this book.

The original is title Penises and Vaginas. We see one of each, in a nice naturalistic setting.

For the revision, Stinson retitles the page Genitals. She's trying to be trans-inclusive (noble) but forgets to introduce readers to both kinds of genitals and never uses the individual terms (oops). A third nude kid is added, but not a fourth. Why?

Today in #KidsBookNudity, Kathy Stinson's #TheBareNakedBook. The original bums page shows five little kids with a total wardrobe of one shirt, bums on display. Exactly as advertised, very satisfying.

The revised bums page: only one kid's bum, two grownup bums with weird rays on them, a second naked kid angled so we can't see bum, and fifth person who might as well have stayed home. This is progress?

Today in #KidsBookNudity, let's do Kathy Stinson's #TheBareNakedBook. Below are the three covers. The first two - kind of the same, really - are by the original artist from 1986, Heather Collins, and show two bare naked children playing on a bed. The 2022 rewrite, illustrated by Melissa Cho, has only one kid, and he isn't even bare naked. I have issues with this book.
