Uit de as van #TheBodysnatchers verrijst, nadat deze met ruzie uit elkaar viel. Deze volledig vrouwelijke popband, bestaande uit 7 leden, scoorde tussen de oprichting in '80 een paar hits in de UK. Ze bouwden een stevige live-reputatie op. Na wat kleine hits scoorden ze in '83 met "Sign of the times" een europese monsterhit en splitten in '84.
Hun nummer "Iko Iko" zou achteraf terug een hit worden dankzij de film Rainman.

#TheBelleStars are in white, with a neat line in formal wear. Their blokeish costume idea had been appropriated by Culture Club and Boy George, and the press found "man crosses gender boundaries" far easier to sell than "group of women push gender boundaries". Almost as if the press are scared of their toxic masculinity being undermined.
