well, just finished watching the brits and didn't know half the acts. But no bother, I refuse to admit I'm old, no, no, so it must be the damn radio syndicates only playing the same 9 songs on loop.. yes, more radio 1 this year and less planet-radio-disguised-as-insert-local-radio-station.. also clearly don't listen to radio hosts, only just discovered Sam Smith sings the unholy song after humming it for weeks. The Brits introduced gender neutral categories and this is the result, no women nominated for best artist and out of 70 possible nominations only 12 went to women and none went to trans / non binary people.

M/F categories are past it but
in industries where prejudice and male control are still systemic, gender neutrality seems to be being used as an opportunity to exclude women and trans/non binary people again
