Renewed my driver's license. Only needed my original birth certificate, passport, and every piece of paper, from the first notice, to the number documenting the last online chat, the online payment, the creation of the online account, and still they wanted more...it's all online AI before you can make the appointment, and nothing works. Back from another Friday night out dancing at #TheCastle in #Ybor. I am fortunate to have a place to go, to meet up with people I know while also seeing lots of new faces, and a sizable dancefloor to move around on. Almost became a geographer, then an ecologist, then studied film and video then spent a while doing interactive CDROM design (remember that?), Web design, graphic design, and finally back to photography and video. Very interested in how the rich and powerful have sold christmas to the turkeys - how they manipulate us plebs into voting against our own best interests and how they've destroyed democracy around the world. Partly why I think #mastodon is super important.
Have read heaps of #sci-fi and I love pondering future utopias and dystopias. An awful lot of what #DouglasAdams predicted seems to be happening.
