Day 9 - song that makes you happy
The Cinema - Satellites
I've thinking about what to pick for this day and when #Satellites by #TheCinema came up on shuffle, I immediately knew it had to be this song. This is a perfect indie pop tune from 2011 that never fails to put a smile on my face.
Half of this band is Leighton from the band #Lydia so if you like his vocal musings, definitely check out all of The Cinema's releases.

Interesting. Artists & bands using Midjourney for their videoclips:

THE ANSWER LIES IN THE BLACK VOID 'In Obsidian Clouds'.
A collaboration between Martina Horváth (Thy Catafalque/ MANSUR) & Jason Köhnen (MANSUR/Celestial Season/Bong-Ra/The Lovecraft Sextet/ex-The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble).
If you like slow, dreamy (poppy?) doom metal with ethereal female vocals & some orchestration, have a listen.

I was thinking about my lovely colleagues, working hard to push our projects through deliberate algorithmic noise of fb. I feel sorry for them doing this bullshit work, and not contemplating much on how things could be different. This feeling unexpectedly reminded me of this funky old movie, where in a free underground society people still know the taste of beer, and a ratburger too:
Saw 'The Billion Dollar Code' limited-mini-serie [1] on #Netflix.
It's a German production telling the story of TerraVision[2], a presumable precursor of Google Earth & their David vs Goliath fight against Google whom they claim stole their idea & used it in Google Earth. Or did they[3]?

Just watched The House. 2022 stop motion animation. Really quite excellent.
Best moments from Kin-Dza-Dza. For memberberries. Spoiler tsunami for the rest.

Watched Pitch Black [2000] and Chronicles of Riddick [2004] this weekend. Something between starwars and mad max, yet much more fun, almost a rave party.
And the concepts for cataclysms of light are actually beautiful. I totally see why this became cult series.

And you reminded me about the lobster:

12 monkeys '95. How could have I missed it? Brilliant movie by brilliant Terry Gilliam.
