Waiting for Summer
Beautiful sunny warm day so I decided to take my new pochade box and tripod outside and try a little painting from life. The garden is quite past its prime but the grass was green and the light shining was a perfect opportunity to practice outdoors.

This is a picture of my tiny cottage art studio in the backyard lit up in the evening. I always used the excuse of not having a space to create art so my partner built this for me from a former grape arbor. He used mostly salvaged materials to construct it. I no longer have an excuse so I'm working on honoring his efforts by trying to paint daily.
