Kristy groeit op in Sacramento en leert in de schoolband gitaarakkoorden en leert de rest zelf aan. In 1972 ontmoet ze #LuxInterior in Sacramento State College.
In 1974 verhuist ze met Lux naar Ohio en in 1976 naar NYC en worden ondergedompeld in de opkomende #punkscene.
Ze starten samen een band op #TheCramps die een enorme live reputatie krijgen en eigenen zich zelfs een eigen genre toe, #psychobillypunk. In 1976
