The next film from Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla 2014, Monsters) promises to be magnificent.

With production design by James Clyne (ILM VFX art director on The Last Jedi), cinematography by Greig Fraser (Rogue One, Dune: Part 1, the Batman), music by Hans Zimmer...

All we can do now is keep our fingers crossed that the script will live up to expectations.

Less than three weeks before #TheCreator hits theaters.

Also, it looks as though #RebelMoon won’t be getting a theatrical release as I was hoping. Not only do I think it’s a mistake on Netflix’s part, it seems like a missed opportunity, particularly with #DunePart2 having been pushed back to early spring. Oh, well… 😔

I am somewhat excited about #TheCreator, because it is rare to get a big budget Sci-Fi film that isn't a part of an established IP. A rarity in itself. What's more, Paul Chadeisson has had a massive influence on the art direction so the spaceship eye candy is there. And #Homeworld3 is on its merry way, also fingerprinted by Chadeisson.

With #DunePart2 pushed back to early next year, it’s starting to look like #theCreator will have the big “sci-fi” flick of the year to itself…unless Netflix decides to give #RebelMoon the same treatment they gave #GlassOnion. Guess we’ll just wait & see…

Saw #thelastvoyageofthedemeter todat. It was…okay. Not outstanding, but still good for a chill or two. Among the trailers were were the film version of #fivenightsatfreddys & #TheExorcistBeliever. Not that I plan on catching either, mind you.

Only six weeks till #theCreator arrives.

however probably my favourite movie of the year 2023 will be #TheCreator - release date = September 29 - as it tells a story of war between mankind and AI / robots, that is quite realistic:

It’s looking to be a lean couple of months as far as #movies go. In fact, it looks like it won’t be till early fall when #theCreator comes out before I go back to the multiplex.

Till then, I’ll try my best to fill the time between now and then. 🫰

Saw #oppenheimer today…it was okay. Wasn’t blown away by it, honestly. Perhaps I’m becoming jaded as far as recent movies are.

For now it’s a long wait for #theCreator k #dune2 to arrive…assuming they DO, natch. 🫰
